The winning European Ryder Cup team members will feature in this year’s DP World Tour Championship
The European Ryder Cup team that marked the biggest comeback in the history of the biennial event earlier this month will be featured in this year’s final European Tour event, the DP World Tour Championship.
Under the captaincy of Jose Maria Olazabal, the Europeans earned a total of 8.5 points in Sunday’s singles and left their US counterparts in shock, at the Medinah Country Club.
The players will now give a huge boost to the season ending tournament at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The $8 million tournament will feature the top-60 players in the European Tour’s official money list. The top-15 players in the tournament will then share a huge amount of the prize money offered in the event.
According to the current Race to Dubai list, last year’s money list winner Luke Donald will join the current leader and the world number one Rory McIlroy.
The other Ryder Cup teammates to feature in the event include Lee Westwood, Justin Rose, Graeme McDowell, Sergio Garcia, Peter Hanson, Paul Lawrie, Ian Poulter, Francesco Molinari, Martin Kaymer, and Nicholas Colsaerts.
In addition to that, the reigning Open champion Ernie Els will also come along with other South Africans, including Retief Goosen, Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel.
It is not something out of the box to see the top-notch players participating in the season-ending tournament.
However, the tournament gets some extra viewership when the Ryder Cup players are featured in the tournament.

International Director - Dubai, Nick Tarratt.
"I'm sure golf fans in the region will look forward to welcoming and congratulating golf's ‘Greatest Team on Earth’,” he added.
“...Many of the biggest names of golf have already secured their places and we look forward to welcoming them to Jumeirah Golf Estates for what will be a celebratory end to The European Tour season”.
There is no doubt that DP World Tour Championship has now become one of the elite golf tournaments in the world, especially because of its position on the European Tour roster.
Usually, it becomes really expensive to watch the best golf players playing live on the course in big events.
However, this will not be the case in the DP World Tour Championship. For the last three years, the tournament officials have not charged a single penny on the tickets.
This year too, the officials have announced free entries for the spectators. However, one should book a ticket online at the official website of the event - www.dpwtc.com.
