The women in Mike Tyson's life
Mike Tyson is a very interesting character. The former heavyweight boxing champion has declared himself bankrupt this year and is living from month to month. But we are here to find out about something more interesting about him than his financial situation. Mike Tyson has had a very interesting love life and his exploits with women are legendary. Over the years he has been linked with numerous women and he has fathered seven children by different women. His current wife is pregnant with his eighth child and it seems that finally for the first time in his life, Mike Tyson might be happy and ready to accept being a dad. The future looks bright for this former boxing champion and he may have found the life he always dreamed of.
Mike Tyson lived a very unhappy childhood; he was bullied at school and he had an absentee father. His mother was trying to raise him on her own but she was having a very difficult time of it. When he was a teenager he was sentenced to a juvenile detention facility where he learned to box. When he returned to the world a free man, he became an instant success in the boxing ring. He was an 18 year old with a huge amount of money and going from squalor to having millions took its toll on the young boxer. He started to spend money left and right and with this spree came all sorts of attention from women. He was linked with many women in his early career but he seemed to settle down when he married his first wife, actress Robin Givens, in 1988. Tyson’s problems started a year later when Givens appeared with the boxer on a television show and accused him of assaulting her numerous times and being extremely forceful in his sexual acts. She also claimed that their marriage was a living h**l and they were divorced soon after that.
Mike’s next big problem came when he was found guilty of raping a young beauty pageant winner. In 1992, a jury found him guilty of having raped Desiree Washington in a hotel room. The verdict almost destroyed his life and he was sentenced to three years in jail. But the interesting thing about the man with a Maori tattoo on his face is that he came out of jail and proceeded to win the heavyweight championship again. He has continuously claimed his innocence in that case. In 1997, Tyson decided to give marriage another shot and this time got hitched to Monica Turner. The couple had two children together but this union did not last either and after five years of marriage the couple divorced. Turner claimed the reason they ended up having to go their separate ways was because Tyson had committed adultery numerous times during the five year relationship. It did not look likely that the boxer could find luck in marriage.
Tyson has a strange way with women. He has said in interviews that he likes his women to be confident and strong willed and then he likes to dominate them into submission. He has said that he likes extreme s*x and a lot of the time his version of extreme is a lot more intense than his partners’ idea of what it should be like. It could be that this sexually violent streak has caused the boxer so much trouble in his life and could be the reason why true love has eluded him. But now Tyson seems to have found his ideal partner in life. He has been married to his third wife, Lakiha Spicer, for a few years now and the couple are expecting their second child together. Even though tragedy struck the family last year when their daughter Exodus was found accidentally strangled to death in the wiring of a treadmill, the couple seems to have moved on from that incident and are now very happy in their life. It could be a result of Tyson having matured significantly and forgetting his violent sexual tendencies or it could be that the antidepressants that he takes and will probably take for the rest of his life, keep him on the straight and narrow.
Whatever has been said about this larger than life boxer, he seems to have settled down in life and even though he is broke having squandered a $300 million fortune; he seems to be finally happy. That is a very good place for him to be after so many turbulent years and hopefully he will remain that way for a long time to come.
