The word "furries" was used in a Question in a way I did not understand. It seemed to refer to a rave ?

Furries, in the sem-sexual sense, are people who like to dress up as animals and then interact with others, also dressed as animals.  Some groups just cuddle, others have anonymous s*x, others just feel they are animals at heart.

No I'm not a furry, I just learned a lot about it when a kid I knew did an undercover piece on them.
