The words are off when i have my surround sound turned on??

when my surround sound is on the wording is off on my television. anyone have any suggestions?

This is a lip synch error and can be caused by either the station broadcasting.  TBS is notorious for lip synch issues or the reciever you have hooked up.  Processing of the audio signal can take a few milliseconds to do and the video processing sometimes go faster, which results in lip synch issues.

Check your recievers audio options (some allow you to delay the audio in microseconds till the sound "synchs" up.  If your reciever does not offer this or it gets too burdonsome to do everytime you change the channel, try switching the audio cables.

Lip synch happens alot with the HDMI cables but less so with optical cable.  So if using an HDMI cable, have the video sent via HDMI and the audio via optical.  Your cable or satallite box should have a setup menu to allow you to setup the audio so you can make the change.
