The worst eleven players in the English Premier League this season – Part 2
Defense
To be absolutely fair to everyone else on this list, the whole back line of the Blackpool team deserves a notable mention here after leaking in an extraordinary 70 goals to date in this season. But standing out at right-back is Stephen Crainey,
who has been unquestionably appalling. Anyone who watches the League will have no doubts about his deserving place in the worst 11.
Sebastien Squillaci has been what you call a disaster for Arsenal. He has been undoubtedly the worst buy of the summer transfer window. Ranging from poor performances, to absolute blunders, he has it all in his arsenal of match-losing weaponry. Fortunately
for him, Djorou and Koscielny have been solid at the back on most occasions, saving him from the embarrassment.
As far as the story of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sol-Campbell-c33757 goes, he’s had his glory days with the Gunners but now at 36, he is showing signs of his age. Slow paced and low on fitness levels, he has been the kind of center-back that would at all costs be avoided.
James Perch has had 9 appearances in the Premier League and has earned himself yellows on 6 of them. Five yellows in his first five starts. It is a fitting end seeing him relegated to the bench and not having played since the start of this year. This is
not the kind of football the average man wants to play but credit to him, we have a complete back set of the worst defenders this season in the EPL.
Midfield
The price of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Poulsen-c9114 showed a lot of promise and years of productivity from him in a Liverpool shirt. But sadly, none of this has happened and his performances have been an absolute shocker. He has a zero percent delivery rate
and has cut down to a peripheral figure in the Liverpool squad. No wonder he thinks coming to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 was the worst decision of his life.
Ireland, in a part deal for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706, seemed to be a good exchange. While Milner is doing wonders at Man City, Ireland has been loaned out to Newcastle United after just 10 appearances for Aston Villa. He has seen only substitute action twice in his
time there.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Barry-c14423 has seen a substantial dip in his form, seeing him from a class act to a mere slow paced turnover machine in the heart of the City midfield. His reducing influence and dominance in the midfield has not gone down well with the other City stars.
Although his passing abilities have been up to scratch, he has been a lonely figure in midfield devoid of any dominance.
Liverpool sold out a good load of upcoming talent to Fulham in exchange for Paul Konchesky who has been no more than a mere failure for the Reds. Becoming one of the least promising players in the EPL this campaign. He has been so poor that he was loaned
out to Forrest in the January transfer window.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Cole-c18694 was considered the best buy when he was inducted into the ranks of the Liverpool squad and was thought to turn their fortunes. But with a red card on his debut and a string of poor performances, he has not had an impact on the Reds and now is an
unused substitute. Plans are that he will be sold out in the summer.
Forwards
Included in this season’s worst 11 are two strikers costing a total of 57 million pounds and one loud mouth who considers himself to be a level above the rest. Yes we are talking about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Bendtner-c27726.
The sole 50-million-pound goal arrived after 14 games in a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 shirt. Fernando Torres has still not found the form that made him untouchable and a menace for the defenders. His touch has been poor and so has his finishing.
Man United dished out 7 million pounds to have the signature of Bebe. His signing has been less than what was least expected of him. With only seven appearances to his name, there are few that would argue that he has been an utter waste of money.
Bendtner on the other hand, likes to talk a lot and declares himself the best striker alive, but when it comes to scoring goals, he can only find the net in the Carling Cup. His form has been poor and he has had little taste of goals. His days may be limited
in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
And that completes our list of the worst 11 of the EPL this season.
