  1. Do not worry.  Do not be scared.  I assure you that the world will not end on 2012 December 21 but it will end one day.  Remember that if there is a beginning, there is an end.

Nostradamus’ prediction of when the earth will end is far into the future, past about 3700.  He still has many prophecies that are not fulfilled yet.  This is in agreement with what I heard and learned from the Holy Spirit—that there will only be about 144,000 around AD 2200, peace reigns for a thousand years till around AD 3200, and the release of Satan to test the descendants of the elect for about 500 years, and then the end will come.

The Mayan’s Mesoamerican Long Count calendar forms the basis for a New Age belief, first forecast by Jose Arguelles, that a cataclysm will take place on or about 2012 December 21 (Wikipedia).  It will be the end of the Mayan calendar’ 13th Baktun cycle (13.0.0.0.0) to start a new cycle.

In the book of Revelation, it tells us about a period of a thousand years of peace. Has this occurred already since the time of Jesus? Not yet. That will still come. Those that give predictions of the world’s end, such as 2012 and numerous times during the past, are pseudo-preachers. Have they talked to God directly? If so, give proofs.

But there is something that is certain—and that is our physical death. This is what we should prepare for. It may come when least expected. We do not know the day and the hour. It will come like a thief in the night. So we just have to be prepared all the time. Search for the true God and when we find Him, follow His commandments and remain in Him until our last dying breath.

This is all that we have to do. It is faith in the true God that we can take with us when we depart from this world. If we denied Him, He will deny us also before the Father in Heaven and send us to h**l. This is very scary – to live in h**l forever.  If we knew Him and loved Him and followed His commandments, then He may reward us to live with Him eternally in His kingdom in Heaven. This is the survival kit that we should have.

Did you know that in his or her boredom, “Thanks for reading this” theorized in Yahoo Answers, Religion & Spirituality section, that 2012 is 20 + 12 = 32, the approximate age of Jesus when He was crucified and died?  I answered that when Jesus died, He was really 32 solar years old, equivalent to 33 lunar years.  Details are in http://www.geocities.com/peacecrusader88...  I believe that this is one sign that God is warning us of the impending catastrophe around 2012, like the end of the Mayan’s calendar cycle.  But I repeat, it is not the end of the world yet.

What is also certain to happen very soon (in about 2012 or earlier) is World War III and this is a nuclear war.  This “calamitous war” (as Nostradamus called it) will start from the Philippines, at Spratly Islands in particular.  The Spratly Islands lie on the southeast part of the South China Sea mostly near the coast of the Philippines.  The Holy Spirit told us that the Philippines is the wick of a gas lamp.  Once the wick is lit, it will be on and aglow.  He told us about this prophecy about two decades ago.  He said that the troubles in the Philippines will spread to the whole world until mankind is almost annihilated and a few will remain.  Spratly Islands is being claimed wholly by China, Taiwan and Vietnam; and partly by Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines,  It is considered a tinderbox, a flash point.  It is very rich in oil and gas resources, more than the reserve of Kuwait.  The high price of oil may trigger the grabbing of these islands and start the war.

Four independent prophecies point to the certainty that this will happen.  These are Nostradamus’ prophecies to happen around this time (quatrains 6:24 and 2:62) , the 56th Chinese prophecy of Tui Bei Tu (the past 55 prophecies have already been fulfilled) found at http://www.alexchiu.com/philosophy/corp3... and Wikipedia, Revelation 9:18 of the Holy Bible, and those that the Holy Spirit revealed to us.  If you are interested in the details about these prophecies, please send me your request via email.

After the calamitous war, then we will have a new age, a spiritual awakening, an enlightenment, and peace for a long time.  The population would have been reduced by a third and there will be much arable land that will be available.  People will be living in planned cities and communities.

Isaiah 35:4 (KJV) states: “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.”

  2. in my opnion its all ******* bullshit i bet you that there was some dumbass saying that back in the 1800s its just that informantion can reach poeple faster and is spread quickly(via internet, tv radio newspape,.... you get the point) dont worry the world will end long after you and i are dead(im 14 to)

  3. 2012 is just the revealing of the 'antichrist' at the middle of what Jews and Christians call the 7 year Tribulation. Many pagan cultures celebrate this evil event called "the abomination that causes desolation". When will Yeshua Ha'Mashiach (Jesus) come? Only God knows. If you believe or not, that is up to you.

Things to look for to PROVE it to yourself soon:

Crash of American banks starting this week.

Fall of America ('Mystery Babylon' in Rev.18) as a economic power and other ways.

    Martial law.

The start of the North American Union.

Final push to one world government.

Push to one world religion where there are "manys ways to God".

    More food shortages and famines.

    More earth quakes. More fires.

    Strange and severe weather. Asteroids.

Push for USA and Israel to attack Iran which will start WW3-the atomic war to end all wars. (If you think China, Russia, and the Muslim world would just sit back, you are sadly mistaken and a fool!)

Temporary and unheard of "peace in the middle east".

Rise of a miraculous and awe inspiring world leader later to turn world dictator.

    Major spiritual awakenings.

    Rise of Islamic fanaticism.

Toleration of everything but Jews and Christians.

    Rise in wickedness and corruption.

Implementation of Project Bluebeam (be ready to hear more and more 'alien talk'... watch your local skies for the show!)

Trying to make people first accept the REAL ID card (to get you in the system) and then right after forcibly implanting people with these RFID chips:

They are already practicing [MUST SEE!] :

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=932Zu4e4iVM

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=plELx_wmNgU

Christians and Messianic Jews look forward to this as it means they will soon join their Messianic Saviour in the Millennial Kingdom of the next Age and their Heavenly Father later as "Children of Light".

Research all these things FOR YOURSELF

  4. The year 2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar cycle, the same as December 31 is the end of the common calendar cycle.  It makes no more sense to me to say that the world will end in 2012 than it does to say it will end every December 31.

Here is a BIG hint: The Mayan calendar that is the basis of the 2012 doom-and-gloom group's anxiety starts over, just as we commonly go from December 31 to January 1.  Yes, it is possible that the world as we know it will end any day, and eventually it will.  But there is no reason to assign a date, even one only as close as a specific year.  The whole universe as we know it will also end, but I'm not going to worry about that either.

  5. Maybe you did not understand about Y2k.  But the main question is:  Did you survive?

Or did you die with everybody else when the world ended in 1999?

I'll bet that you survived, thus proving that yet another end-of-the-world prediction was wrong.

There are people who make their money by selling books on how to survive the end of the world.  Whenever they need more money, they invent another "end-of-the-world" scenario.

If there is a special event, then they will use that as the date (for example, Dec. 31, 1999;  June 6, 2006 = 6/6/6).  If not, then they just invent a date (like in 2003 when the fictitious planet Nibiru was going to hit us... again).

This time, they use the fact that the Meso-American Long Count calendar comes to the end of one long count (these counts last over 5000 years), and begins a new one.  This is happening at the same time as the position of the solstice is in the thickest portion of the Milky Way (what we call the Galactic equator).

This was done on purpose (ancient astronomers -- Greek, Chinese, others -- could calculate these things thousands of years ago).

When events like this happen, astrologers (not astronomers) like to talk of "New Ages", a time of change, a chance for humanity to get rid of all its problems.

In our western civilization, our "new ages" are determined by the position of the equinox: when the position of the equinox moves to another constellation (every 2100 years), our astrologers talk of "new age" with the usual predictions.  Many of us ignore them.  At best, we can all use an excuse to celebrate and have a few beers.  By the way, we are entering the Age of Aquarius, in our western culture.

We are a lot less familiar with the Mayan culture and that is why it is easy for the "end-of-the-world" charlatans to fool us with their false predictions.

"The Mayan calendar comes to an end"

The Mayan calendar ended with the last of the Mayan civilization, centuries ago.  The Meso-American calendar (used by Mayan astronomers and others) does not come to an end: it passes from one long count to the next long count.

"The Mayans predicted the end of the world"

No.  In fact, Mayan astronomers wrote about astronomical events which are to take place after the year we call 2012.  They give the date using their calendar.  Obviously they expected neither the world nor their calendar to end.

    "Planet Nibiru will... (whatever)"

Planet Nibiru was invented by some guy translating old Sumerian documents.  With better translations, we now know that the Sumerian Nibiru was really the planet we call Jupiter; and it is not coming this way, not in 2012, not for millions of years.

"There will be a planetary alignment"

No.  In fact, the year 2012 is rather poor in planetary alignments.  There will be fewer than usual.

"The Sun will cross the Galactic equator"

The sun crosses the galactic equator twice per year (Dec.31 and June 21).  Every year.  Did you feel a special bump on June 21, at the last crossing?  Neither did I.

"There will be a maximum of solar activities, with sunspots and flares"

There is a maximum every 11 years.  Anyone around you older than 11?  If so, then they have survived the last maximum.

"The Earth's magnetic field will reverse"

It does every 700,000 years and we are due.  However, the reversal takes a thousand years and we're not even sure if it has started yet.  So, it will not be done for 2012.

    "The Earth's spin will reverse"

It can't.  At least not that fast.

Venus is the latest planet to have had its rotation spin reversed (by the tidal effect of the Sun).  It only took 4 billion years (I was surprised that it was that fast!  I had to read the scientific paper twice to convince myself).

    and so on.

Lately, some people have even added  the bad weather events (they are really due to global warming) and the economic collapse (which can be traced back to all the other causes of the decline and fall of the American empire).  They have nothing to do with 2012 and they will continue.

Be careful what bank you put your money in, and don't buy property on the shores of a warm ocean.

  6. The Y2k problem was in IT. It was problem with the date because some programs had problems with date of year beginning with 2 and not with 1. I'm not a specialist in IT, so it's maybe too simplified and not proper.

Surely it hasn't anything to do with the end of the world. Maybe one common think: There were people believing that in 2000 it will be the end of the world. Such people existed, exist and will exist.

  7. No, the world is not going to end in 2012.  See the link below for the whole story.

  8. Scientists do not believe that the world will end in 2012 because there is no scientific basis for it to happen.

Do not be scared. I assure you that the world will not end on 2012 December 21 but it will end one day. Nostradamus’ prediction of when the earth will end is far into the future, past about 3700. 9. Hi the world will not end although earthquakes and natural disasters will be on the increase. The big fuss is about the earth aligning with the central plane of the galaxy.  This could cause pole shifts and disasters on earth but not the end of the world.  The function of life is survival it will be interesting to see.

    Hope not :)

Don't let it worry you, think of the party you will have in 2012

  10. this 2012 thing is a total hoax spread by a few people who wear aluminum foil hats. Forget it.

Your other answer about "earth aligning with the central plane of the galaxy" is an example. This is total nonsense as any astronomer can tell you.

The Y2K thing, a lot of people took seriously, but no one ever thought the world would end because of it. When people started writing computer programs back in 1960 or so, they abbreviated the year to two digits, 60, 61, etc, because memory was expensive then.

Then in about 1998 suddenly they all realized that in a few years the dates would change from 99 to 00 and a lot of the programs they wrote would break in some way or other.

The vision was most computers crashing when they tried to add 1 to 99, and overflow memory, or some other disaster.

But a lot of people spent a lot of time in 1999 repairing the millions of programs, so when 2000 arrived, it really was not a problem.
