The young Trinniberg to take on the older horses in the Smile Sprint Handicap
Owned by Shivananda Parbhoo, Trinniberg is the only sophomore who will be taking on the older division in the Grade 2 Smile Sprint Handicap at the Calder Racecourse in the Summit of Speed meet on 7th July, 2012, which covers
a distance of six furlongs on a dirt surface.
The son of Teuflesberg also holds an entry in the six furlong long Grade 3 Carry Back Stakes on the same card, but chances are he will attempt to land the Grade 2 event.

With his recent form, he has demonstrated that he can take on anything, and the Grade 2 race will be a challenge he can happily accept.
Foaled by mare Bella Dorato, the young runner emerged victorious from the Grade 2 Woody Stephens Stakes at Belmont Park, where he tackled the seven furlong dirt surface well.

The 3-year-old defeated the Teresa Pompay trained, Currency Swap, in 1 minute and 22.26 seconds on 9th
June, 2012.
The Bisnath Parboo trained colt also landed an impressive victory in the Grade 3 Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct on 7th April, 2012.

The rampant sprinter covered seven furlongs in 1 minute 23.46 seconds under rider, Willie Martinez and claimed the victory over the Chad Brown trained, Hardened Wildcat, while the Todd Pletcher trained, How Do I Win, finished in third place.
Having graded victories over seven furlongs will help the young runner, and he will be able to tackle the competition, but competing against older runners, who have more experience might test the three-year-old’s ability.
In this prestigious event, the runner will be teamed up with Willie Martinez in the hope of securing a placed finish.
Despite his age, the colt has the right amount of talent; he will enter the Smile Sprint Handicap with weights of 118, which equals the weights of the Curtis L. Garrison trained, Field Commission, who has more experience at age seven, and the five-year-old
Gantry, who is currently under the training of, Ron Faucheux.
Trinniberg’s success has proved very beneficial for his connections, since he has banked in $480,000 this year for Shivananda Racing.
