Are Germans taught that jews were made into soap and that 6,000,000 died? Are Germans taught that? Thank you in advance.

The holocaust unfortunately is true and it is a dark part of our history.

This topic is taught at school and there are many memorials and museums that remind the people of the horrible happenings.

You can visit one ore more of the memorials if you come to Germany and most school kids do so at least once.

By the way, I hear the first time that jews were made into soap and I don't believe that. Who would want to use that soap anyways?

Who told you that jews were made into soap? That definitely sounds like one of these bad exaggerating assertions! Take a good history book and read the facts about the 3rd Reich, whose leaders and many German citizens without any doubt acted in a unbelievably inhumane way.

6 Mio people (Jews and others) died as victims of the Holocaust and even more as victims of WW II. It is a fact. And yes, that is taught in school to Germans because unfortunately IT IS TRUE. (Why would we Germans teach it to our children along with the shame of being German if it wasn't?)

German children do learn about the Holocaust in school.  Whether or not the victims were made into soap, I don't know.
