  1. can't do it on YOUR property get it right ,

  2. Sounds like you might have sold your land rights somehow.  Perhaps you sold your mineral rights which, depending on the contract, gives the right for others to use your land.

  3. Given the national attention to renewable energy, you may find yourself in front of a steam roller trying to fight it.  You may want to cite noise problems in your argument  or danger to endangered species of birds in the area.  You may need to fight it via an environmental issue (i.e., destruction of land, trees) or archaeological sites.

You can also fight the right-of-way for power lines going to these units citing the same issues above.

Politically, you may be spitting into the wind at this time since everyone is hopping on the band wagon for renewable energy.

It's gonna be a tough fight on your behalf and there's a lot of money behind these sorts of projects.  Just get out of the way of the steam roller before it runs over you.

  4. Thanks to Eminent Domain law, they can do whatever the h**l they want. At this point you should be grateful they are not throwing you off of your property. I live in the Chicago area and I know of at least 10 houses they "bought" against the home owners wishes, just to expand our expressways. Its really disgusting. You can hire a lawyer, but odds are, its going to cost you a fortune, and they will win in the long run. They should at least pay you rent or buy the property. You really need to speak with a lawyer.
