Their was prophecy of a huge earthquake to hit Cali in 2008?

I was watching the history channel not too long ago and they used a Bible code to determine the future and stuf, and one of the things they predicted was a massive earthquake to hit California in 2008, i know the one they just had wasnt too bad, but I heard a bigger one has yet to come,

They also said their would be a meteor crashing into earth in 2012

anybody else here about this stuff

ok..there is a Huge earthquake predicted within the next 30 years in the same spot in California

As for the meteor hitting in 2012, they say that it is going to be the end of the world

But they will probably end up finding a way to save the world from that by then

If not.....we all die

I know that there has been a massive earthquake once every 500 years that hit the entire west coast, from Alaska all the way down to Mexico. We're in that time frame right now, so maybe that's related to what they're saying. However, we could always break that chain.

But this is scientific fact. Not religion or superstition.

earthquakes and massive asteroid impacts are long overdue, so if it hits this year of in the near future, iit won't be a big surprise....it's just a matter of high probability.  Predicting the future is left to the feeble minded... especially using a book of fairy tales and contradictory myths as a basis for your predictions.

There is no meteor that is heading toward earth that anyone knows of.  There was one that they thought might come close but after recalculating it was found that the meteor will not come nearly as close a previously thought.  As long as I can remember people have talked about the big earthquake that is supposed to hit California, every time there is a small one people freak out and say the big one is coming.  2012 will come and go as 2000 did, of course some people will say there is a new date that the world will end.  That has been going on for thousands of years.

The bible code is a load of c**p - it has only to do with probabilities rather than exact information.

The book is laid out on a computer as a single, enourmous page.  Then, the program searches every second letter, every third letter, every fourth letter, every fifth letter, every.... get the picture?  Eventually, it finds something that matches a person, place, or event.  Of course, they really only ever find stuff after an even has taken place.

They tried the same thing with "Moby D.ick" to see if it only worked with the bible - they found all sorts of stuff - hitler, stalin, earthquakes, floods, yada yada...

Again, all probabilities and sequencing - not a real code.
