Ive been to Bush gardens, you need to get it on the right day and you can do most or everything there.

i have never been to kings dominion but busch gardens in tampa is amazing.

I've been to both quite a bit, and each one has their good and bad points, but being a season pass holder, and only living 20 minutes from Busch Gardens, I prefer them over Kings Dominion any day.  

Busch Gardens is cleaner, better maintained, better atmosphere, more family friendly, lots of great shopping, lots of shows to choose from (I love the irish dancers!!) and awesome variety of food to choose from!

Kings Dominion has more coasters, but it's not nearly as clean and family friendly as Busch Gardens (even though it has an entire area for kids), lots of graffiti, decent shops, a few shows, and the food sucks.
