Themes for a dance?

Question

my class (juniors) has to plan our school bands annual band banquet and we need to come up with a theme..so far we have something about candy or ipods or something weird that i dont like...the theme doesnt have to be band or music related but it doesnt have to be like fancy romantic prom themes...we also need ideas for center pieces..prefferably relating to the theme...thanks!

well you can always go with the classic eighties, at my school we love the eighties.  Or if you want to go more elegant, black and white ball.  You could use black and white roses for centerpieces.    Last year for coronation we had an around the world theme, we had a crepe station for paris, the latin dance club taught salsa, origami center pieces and lots of other cool things, it was a huge hit, very fun

This theme would be perfect!!

People can dress up relating to the different themes..e.g for lust people can wear pink

You can also have 7 centre pieces around the area based on the colours relating to the sins
