Theo Bos extends his stay with Team Rabobank for two more years
After having a terrific past seasons, Theo Bos has decided to extend his stay with Team Rabobank for two more years.
The cyclist joined the Dutch side in 2011 and has stayed with the side for the past two seasons, securing numerous victories for the team.
Theo marked his professional debut with Team Rabobank in 2009 and penned a deal with Cervelo Test Team for 2010 season.
He has shown interest towards supporting Mark Renshaw for the years to come as a main lead-out man.
"With the arrival of Mark Renshaw, sprinting has become more important to the Rabobank team,” he said on the team's website.
“The cooperation between riders and the people around them has improved”.
Bos noted that the team has shown a lot of faith in him throughout the season by giving him the opportunity to participate at numerous events in both the seasons.
His start to the 2012 season was delayed because of a surgery that he had undergone by the end of the last season.
“But in the Tour of Turkey, he showed not only that he has the sharpness of a sprinter, but also that the Renshaw-Bos duo works well together”.
“We are in the process of helping him to a higher level as a sprinter. The next step is for Theo to win in a race at the very highest level,” Team Manager Erik Breukink briefed.
The 28-year-old’s victories in the current season include a first place finish at the Dwars door Drenthe along with a stge1 and a stage 8 win at the Tour of Turkey.
He secured the third overall position at the Clasica de Almeria and is in great form for the remaining part of the season.
Theo has already announced the signing up of his contract along with team-mates Bram Tankink, and Maarten Tjallingii.
He failed to earn a Tour de France spot this year mainly because of the high level of competition within the side.
