Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 has admitted to being impressed with the way the Gunners turned their game around against Aston Villa and then picked up the win.
The Gunners took on Aston Villa in the FA Cup, in a game that everyone though would be a walk in the park for the North London club.
However, two goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 were headed out of the competition.
Following the half time break, the Gunners stepped onto the pitch with a purpose to prove a point and that is exactly what they did.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 went on to score via a penalty and then Theo Walcott scored a very lucky goal. A few minutes later, Arsenal were awarded another penalty and Van Persie went on to send his effort into the back of the net once again.
As a result, the Gunners turned the game around in the span of ten minutes and took the lead in the match.
When talking about Arsenal’s performance during the game, Walcott is quoted to have said: "I enjoyed the second half especially because the team worked so hard"
“It was absolutely fantastic. This cup is massive and it means a lot to us.
"We want to win the trophy and we need to show the fan’s that we’re ready. It just shows what great character we have in the dressing room."
Walcott then revealed that despite being down by two goals, the team never stopped believing they could turn things around and their faith helped them pick up their level of performance.
"We’ve got to always believe that we can come back," Walcott added.
"After a very dodgy first half, we just went at them.
"We needed a bit of luck, and hopefully our luck’s changed after that."
Arsenal have been a little unlucky in recent weeks, but the manner in which they beat Aston Villa, it seems like the team might finally have their luck at an all time high.
It is now up to the Gunners to use this form and luck and push for a trophy at the end of the season, while they look to secure a top four finish by the end of the season.
