Theo Walcott has come under criticism once again and this time it is Arsenal’s former midfielder Stewart http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robson-c31388 who has hit out at the Englishman over rumours that he is willing to blackmail Arsenal into offering him an improved
contract at the club. Arsenal barely made it into the UEFA Champions League qualification spot as they finished 3rd in the recently concluded league season as Tottenham finished fourth and missed out on European football for next season due to Chelsea’s
triumph in the Champions League final.
Walcott was seen as the next big thing in English football but since then the young winger has failed to live up to his initial potential and has deteriorated in terms of football ability. Walcott’s lack of a footballing brain
has what has hurt him the most. The Englishman does have blistering pace but like a sprinter he faces problems when put in tight situations on the field.
Another thing that works against him is his crossing ability as despite getting into the right positions more often than not whilst playing for Arsenal, his final ball leaves a lot to be desired which frustrates his team mates
as well as the Gunners’ faithful. Robson said, "It wouldn’t worry me if http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 were to leave tomorrow. Theo Walcott, for me, is not a good footballer. He is an athlete who puts on a pair of football boots.”
He added, "He is quick, he is fast, but when he was younger he should have been taught how to be better technically, how to find space, how to find awareness. He has never done that and he is a liability when he is defending. For
Theo Walcott to want more money, I would let him go." With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 arriving at the Emirate stadium, it will be interesting to see whether or not Walcott gets a more regular role next season or not as whenever he has been trusted to perform, he has undoubtedly
disappointed to a massive extent.
