Arsenal forward and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 has gone on to admit that he would like to win a trophy next season, while claiming that he was delighted with the team securing Champions League football once again.
When talking about the coming season, and just how the team managed to secure a top four finish, the attacker said, “Our next step is to win something, that’s our goal and that’s got to happen. [Finishing fourth] was testament to the spirit at Arsenal. There
is a lot of belief.”
The Gunners went on to beat their local rivals, Tottenham as they claimed the fourth spot in the league table, on the last day of the season. The team went on a remarkable run in their last ten games, which saw them drop only ten points. That brilliant run
ensured that the team would end up maintaining their tradition of finishing in the top 4 once again.
“The players believe in each other. We didn’t really take too much interest in the outside and knew the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 that we had to do. We didn’t want to let the fans down. It just shows what a fantastic job [Wenger has] done. Hopefully he’ll be here for many, many
years to come,” Walcott said.
However, with the team not having won a single trophy over the last eight years, it seems like the players are finally looking to go all out and do just what it takes to claim some form of silverware.
This current season was considered by many to be a transition phase for the team, following the departure of their mercurial striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380. Now with the team finally coming together, it seems like they can only get better from here on out.
At the same time, with the three other teams in the top four all set to be appointed new managers, Arsene Wenger will have the experience that is needed, to potentially out play his opponents.
Nonetheless, it is now going to be a long wait for every Arsenal fan to see just how their team end up performing this coming season.
