Theoretically In 2009 will F1 cars be able to drive in the rain without a front wing?

As far as i'm aware the downforce available from front and rear wings will be significantly reduced for the 2009 season

  1. Theoretically, they can run without wings right now. I wouldn't want to see the results. They are reducing downforce, not eliminating it. Even a simple flat, single plane wing can generate a bunch of downforce. The IRL cars are a great example.

    Yeah a lot of aero pieces will be missing in 2009 but in some form, there will be front and rear wings, unlike the Arrows A2!

  3. In Theory, at race speeds no.

    At greatly reduced speeds ie under 40mph, yes, in a straight line.
