Theoretically speaking could it be likely (even though not concretely proven)?

for the brain to 'emit' thought frequencies like a radio and other brains could receive them?

  1. I think so too. This happed to me SO MANY TIMES! A lot of times I had thoughts coming into my head that I didn't know where they were coming from. Then, I made the BIG mistake of speaking out loud what I heard. I found out later that I was speaking other people's thoughts...so they thought I was trying to read their minds. I wasn't.  It got me into a lot of trouble. I don't know if I was able to send thoughts out to them or not. I do know that I used to have a lot of prayers answered. When I was with the Charismatics..it was a common thing to call someone or go to them and say "You called for me?" ...even though there were no phone calls etc. from them. You just sensed that they needed help..or "something told you"...that they wanted to get in touch with you. I don't know if it's anything like "radio waves"..but I do know that there's SOMETHING going on! If this isn't true ..then what's prayer all about? Why even bother to pray if your prayers don't reach someone? Of course ...there has to be a "willing receiver" on the other end who will respond. (Guess it's similar to the "tree falling in the forest".) ie..Are our thoughts and prayers of any use if no one hears them? What good is a radio station if no one listens to it?

  2. I think weve have lost the ability to b telpathic thousands of years ago. I also think that telepathy works beyond brainwaves -on another level unknown to us yet , I think deep sin's  answer is on the right track.  I believe It's something to do with Emotions.

  3. No, your brain is not a transmitter.  Brain waves end a few millimeters above the skull.  Also, your brain is not a receiver.  Sorry.

  4. Some years ago Upton Sinclair (link below) wrote a book called "Mental Radio" that detailed experiments between his wife and himself and his wife and some other people.

At the time telepathy was thought of in terms of radio signals or other electro magnetic waves. However, efforts to detect these waves proved that this was probably not the case.

The current trend is quantum entanglement where information travels with no apparent connection but two particles are simply entangled. Dean Radin (link below) discusses this in his current book "Entangled Minds".

Unfortunately it may be 50 years before quantum physics gives us enough information to suggest if this is the correct  course to pursue in order to explain these phenomena.

There is also the idea that information can travel via fields as suggested by Rupert Sheldrake. His theory of Morphic Resonance has some experimental support.

  5. Yes. Thoughts can be sent as well as perceived  but only if both transmitter and receiver are emotionally involved, "in tune" with each other. The Gospel was written this way. How else can the narrator know what Jesus did when He was alone? None but a witness can tell you what Jesus answered to Satan in the dessert but He was alone there, wasn't He? Think about it.

  6. Telepathy have a spiritual connection. As one grows spiritually and can access the Universal mind and intellect one can know what is there in another's mind by accessing the record in the Universal mind and intellect.

This is one of the reasons Saints answer our questions without we asking Them or speak on the very topic we had a query about. However in Their case it is involuntary access as per God's wish or as per need of mission.

Before this stage the negative energies can interfere and take control over us by giving us a glimpse of telepathic powers.

The best way of developing telepathic powers is by doing spiritual practice conforming to the 6 basic principles of spiritual practice.

  7. I believe this is possible.  I'm sure that if children today don't experience this (much later in their lives) our children's children will.

  8. There are people who say they can do this...

My husband and I have some kind-of telepathy...we say the exact same things at the same time...waaaaaaaay to often to be a coincidence...however, I cannot "read his mind"nor do I think he can read mine...but sometimes, when I'm thinking about asking him to do something..he'll get up and do it as I'm thinking about it...

We've known each other all our lives, but just got married 6 years ago...

  9. UM, the brain's electromagnetic field is just way too weak for that. I'll link an article below from Scientific American, where it explains "the brain's magnetic field of 10E-15 tesla quickly dissipates from the skull and is promptly swamped by other magnetic sources, not to mention the earth's magnetic field of 10E-5  tesla, which overpowers it by 10 orders of magnitude!
