Theory-Man derived f/apes then way do we still have apes?

I believe in creationism, but scientific proof shows evidence of evolution. Just trying to bridge the gap, by getting input on the ape theory, & where do dinosaurs play a part in creationism since we have hard evidence of their existance, and know they played a part in history.

Man didn't derive from modern apes.  Apes and man evolved from common ancestors.

This is a false-logic supposition: if A became B then A and B cannot exist at the same time.  This is not necessarily true.  I used this comparision on a similar question: the logic in the question means that if your parents are still alive and you are alive, then they must not be your parents.

Modern apes and man coexist because, at some point in the past, our ancestors had different experiences which pushed our evolution in different direction than their's.  Our common ancestors were eventually pushed aside.

Evolution now teaches that apes and man evolved from common ancestors. As far as evolution goes if it is real the Bible is not. Having said that the theory of evolution would take more "miracles" to be true than for creationism. Every theory of abiogenesis is in direct conflict with the established laws of nature and science. As far as dinosaurs there is more than a little evidence to show that they may have existed alongside of early man.

For those who wonder why there are both apes and humans existing at the same time, the answer is simple: we both evolved from a common ancestor, but not in the same environment, or under the same selective stresses, and therefore not at the same rate. All species of apes are at a different intellectual level, some closer to monkeys, some closer to humans. But there is a gradation of intelligence. Not all species of cats or dogs or birds are of the same intelligence, either. Evolution explains both the similarities and the difference between the different animals on Earth. Creation just tells us that they exist, with the only challenge being to accept it or reject it.

Science may not be able to explain every step of every stage of every animal, and this is seen by creationists as proof that evolution is incorrect. Darwin never claimed to have all the answers, neither do scientists today make that claim, but the theory of evolution is too compelling and logical to be simply dismissed just because it carries the tag of "Theory". There are many current examples of the theory at work, including bacterial resistance to medication, locust resistance to pesticides etc.

You should note, as maybe you already have, that evolution is about understanding, not about faith.

Not all the species evolved.  The way evolution works is that certain species become better evolved and then have an upper hand on the other, less evolved species for whatever reason.  Then those species procreate, and create more of the same.  If for some reason the apes had been severely unable to compete with humans (or whatever the first evolution was), then they would have died out.  However, instead they were able to co-exist, so then humans evolved as a separate entity.  

It's not like when one new species comes along, the entire old species just dies off...

If you don't like the idea, deal with it. The theory of evolution is the basis of biology. If you don't believe in evolution, don't take antibiotics. Better yet, don't even go to the doctor.

In this theory apes existed first.  Then some ape mutated into a what makes up a human.  This mutation was favored by natural selection and a new species was created.  This does not mean apes have to disappear.  Natural selection still favored them as well.

Humans are apes. The theory is not that humans evolved from another ape species that currently exists but that all the species of apes currently in existence, which include humans, evovled from the same species, which seems quite feasible.

We didn't descend from modern apes.  We all, us and chimps and gorillas, descended from a common ancestor.  You didn't descend from cousin Sally; you both descended from Grandpa Joe.

The reason that we do have humans and apes and gorillas is that our environments and eating habits were just different enough that we didn't need to shove each other out of the same ecological niche.  For instance, our ancestors moved out into the savannahs, while those of chimps and gorillas stayed in the jungles and forests.  That alone moved us out of direct competition with them.

A species will only oust another species if they are in direct opposition to one another and there's only room for one.  If they live in different areas, or eat different foods, or have different habits, or there's enough food for both, they'll both be able to live.  What probably happened with us and the Neanderthals is that we both wanted to live in the same places, gather the same vegetables, and hunt the same game.  It was us or them, and we won.

Really if evolution really happened (It did not!) they could be apes among us still both within or without that given species.

Nevertheless, it comes down to entropy or evolution and science is on entropy's side. The theory of Evolution is a unifying field "theory" which contradicts scientific laws like the 2ed Law of Thermodynamics and since science depends on the law of non-contradiction, "Two diametrically opposed things can not be true at the same time.", we have to chose one or none but not both (At least not at the same time.) Since Entropy has passed the empirical test time and time again and since a unifying field theory (Although helpful at times.) it can not be falsified via the scientific method and thus I chose Entropy.
