  1. I agree with you to a point. The problem with the orb theory is it opens up the door to any ting dust or insect or other natural explanation as being a ghost orb.

I have captured 3 orbs that I consider paranormal out of hundreds and hundred of photos and I have captured enough dust, pollen, rain, snow, insects etc to know them when I see them. What gets me is those very hard to see transparent orbs that is common in photos is what a lot of people call ghosts. One so called experienced ghost hunter that has even been written about in books told me one time the way you can tell a ghost orb from dust is if it is a lone orb.

He even posted some ghost orbs on a site and after I got experience I realized he only had a single dust particle.

I caution people about calling orbs ghosts.

They thing that blows my mind is all the people who call themselves experts and experienced ghost hunters who believe dust and insects in photos are ghosts.

  2. First off, its not "outdated", in actuality, orbs did not start to appear until the digital camera was invented.  However, the issue of orbs is "overrated".  And yes, TAPS memebers will back this up.  The only time a orb could be considered "paranormal activity" is when you catch it with your own eyes or have it on film moving.  Orbs in photos can be caused by various things, dust, mositure in the air, bugs flying around, you name it.  However, if you have a photo with an orb and an apparation, then it is a possibility that the orb is paranormal.  The key is also having other evidence to back up your claim that the orb is an "orb."

  3. your right,

i mean most the time in pictures all it is, is dust. or if you flash it in a glass door or any thing that can reflect you get what looks like orbs but it not its just the reflection of light off the glass.

and orb don't even mean paranormal activity at all. i agree with you its outdated.

  4. Orbs and vortexes and various other problems with film have been there all along. People just dont associate them with paranormal unless they are on a ghost hunt.

The problem is, I have yet to see something that these ghost hunters are claiming is paranormal, which is not just a normal problem in photography.

When I was in college I worked in a photolab, and Fuji had a book which pointed out different problems with film.

Some examples of things that cause problems, low battery, out of sync flash, poor lighting conditions, light exposure on negative, scratches on negatives, x-rays, old negatives etc etc etc.

Not to mention particles close to the lens causeing orbs.

I have seen all these things used by ghost hunters to make the claim that there is something parnormal in the photograph.

    Rather silly now, isnt it?

  5. Yes, orbs are certainly outdated. As is the term retarded, which some see as offensive.

  6. Most photos of so called orb's are just dust reflecting the camera flash. Nothing spooky about that.  Now that everyone has a camera it seems like a big deal to catch an orb.  I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember.  I have worn out many cameras and had to have them rebuilt over the years.  Out of the tens of thousands of photos for I have taken I have only 20 or 30 that I can't explain away. Only 3 of them look like orb's.  I have a few thousand with lens flares, snow, dust, bugs, bats, birds, dirt, water and the like, that look like orb's.

  7. I have a hard time convincing other people that the orb thing is gone. I throw out every orb pic I take. But when it comes to red, or blue light being where it shouldnt be, then I take a closer look. I dont consider myself any more of an authority on ghost as any skeptic/athiest is an authority on them. I am still waiting for science to explain what we are even doing here. tell me, what happened to start something from nothing guys?

  8. Retarted?  You mean, it got its tart replaced?

Oh, you mean RETARDED.  How ironic.  Anyway, yes, that theory is retarded, but so are the other things you mentioned, and everything else of that newage ilk.

  9. I agree.  Even man die hard true believers don't give much weight to the paranormal claim of orbs.  The only paranormal item with more problems than orbs is EVPs.

And since when did anybody on the TAPS team become an authority on anything?  Being on TV doesn't mean you have any credibility.

  10. i strongly disagree i saw one outside after and earthquake that was up in the air out side and slowly came closer went up in ther air and it was like a whit light of electricity.. maybe we arent talking about the samething... usually people ask me if i do or have done acid when i tell them this
