I said something to my therapist and it wasn't bad, and now she's going to tell my mom; the next time I go to her. And now I don't want to talk to her. Do you think I should or shouldn't?

  1. if the therapist is telling your mom, the only reason she would be required to say something is if what you told her is illegal. like a boyfriend is older than 18 or you or your friends did drugs or had underage s*x.  since you werent open about what you said, i think maybe you say it 'wasnt bad' but know it is. if youre still in need of a therapist, you should continue to talk to her or ask your mom for a new one.

  2. it depends on your definition of bad.

i want to be a therapist, but unless it is something that could harm the patient or others, i dont think i would tell the patient's mother.

i think you should talk to her, and tell her how disappointed you would be if she  told your mom. and you are mad because you trusted her to tell you. and that you want to know why she it is important for your mother to know.
