I looked out my window this morning and saw a bird just sitting there in my back yard i thought it would just be fine, but later that afternoon i looked in my backyard and it was still there in the exact same spot. Also I saw another bird feeding the stuck bird this morning. What do I do? I feel realy bad for it.

  1. does it look like he is hurt?

try giving it bread or seeds

if you can get something to pick him up with and put him in a bird cage or a box and take him to a petco or something they should know what to do with him

  2. Birds will often feed their mates, and some species of birds do nest on the ground.  You should go have a look and see what is up....if it's not eggs, then call a wild  bird rescue organization of some sort and they will tell you what to do,

  3. is it stuck? Or just standing there? if its standing there, and the other birds feeding him, its ok. if he's stuck, get some rubber gloves and gently lift him out, or call animal services to help him.

  4. don't have to do anything. it's called a fledgling. that is it's mother feeding it. it will be flying anytime now there is no need to intervene at all. lots of people think they have to but they really don't.

  5. If it is just sitting on the ground chance are it is a fledgling (baby bird who has left the nest but can't fly) that just glided into your yard.  The other bird is a parent that is feeding it.  Just leave the bird alone and if you have any pets keep them inside and away from it.   The parent will keep feeding it and it will soon learn to fly and leave on its own.

  6. BMTHESPIAN has the right answer. The bird is learning to fly. the parents will care for it where it is until it is strong enough to fly. Leave it alone.

  7. bring it in and help it.............. duh
