Hi all-

for the past few weeks, I've noticed that once in a while, I get a fast twitching / pulsing from what seems to be my carotid arteries or juglar veins, just above the sterno-clavicular joints. It feels like an intense throbbing very rapidly. It usually lasts for a few seconds. Lately, it's beginning to happen a bit more frequently. Does anyone have an idea what could be happening?? The pulsing is definitely coming from a blood vessel, because normally it has a pulse, but during these occurances it goes crazy. If you could offer any advice, it would be much appreciated.

PS. - Don't say "see a doctor". thanks.

  2. your dehydrated.

  3. Well, I know you don't want me to say this, but you should see a doctor. Sometimes my leg does that.. but not much.. Sorry I couldn't be of much help.. but seriously.. you should ask a nurse or doctor, or just call in.

  4. you could have pulled a muscle in your neck.

put hot cloths on it and then change to cold

    that should help.

  5. It may be a benign fasiculation.

  6. Most likely it's the twitching of the supraclavicular muscles. That is common if you have a bone out of alignment in your lower neck. A chiropractor can fix that. If it was a blood vessel it would be pulsing like that ALL the time.
