Im a recent college grad. And yes i know the situation about the airlines and its a tough time to be working in that area..

But there is a job opening as an airline ticket agent so should i apply for it?

Of course you should, if that's something you would like to try.  I recommend you watch the show "Airline" on A&E to see what a typical day for an airline employee is like, though.  You have to have a pretty level head and very thick skin to put up with some of the customers.
