Question:

There's a new negative feedback tactic/scam on eBay from buyers?

I'm confused by this. I had perfect feedback until yesterday, a person clicked BUY IT NOW on my item, didn't contact me, and left negative feedback immediately (within the same day).

They never even paid!

This is very odd.

  1. I'm sorry, I can understand how you feel I suppose, I cherish my 50+ perfect feedback rating very much.  I'm sorry to hear that, can you report them or something??

  3. unfortunately there is nothing you can do.... i know it sucks! warn everybody the ebay username

  4. That's kind of d**k.

  5. Thats not fair. Can you email Ebayand tell them what happened? I know they made a recent change so now sellers cant leave the buyers negative feedback.

  6. you should contact ebay, us the live support link, maybe if you explain what happened they'll remove it

also, make sure you add that buyer to your 'blocked' list

  7. eBay is the devil's work.

  8. on ebay you find some very weird but some are very friendly people ,all i can say is do a write up on your feedback and contact the people who sent the feedback!!!

    good luck ;)

  9. First, add the asshat to your blocked list.  Next, reply to the feedback received.  Say something like "You bought this item yesterday.  Did you maybe leave feedback for the wrong seller?"  Anything that doesn't make you look like an even bigger jerk.

On day 8 after the sale, file the item as unpaid.  Choose that the buyer has refused to pay for the item.  Make sure to choose the right reason.  If you choose "We've agreed to complete the sale" you can never get that feedback removed.

Hopefully the buyer will not respond to the dispute.  If they do, just reply in the Dispute Console reminding the buyer that they never paid, and close it right away to place an unpaid item strike against them.  Then contact eBay to ask that the feedback be removed.

Assuming the buyer doesn't respond, which is the case with most such goobers, you can close the dispute after 7 full days.  If this happens, the feedback will disappear automatically.  Buyers who do not respond to unpaid item disputes have their feedback removed.
