  1. "Health is the greatest possession. Contentment is the greatest treasure. Confidence is the greatest friend. Non-being is the greatest joy."

    Lao Tzu

"Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship. "

    Buddha

  2. No. I would re-phrase it to being 'If you have good health, you have the potential to have everything'.

Your well enough to make something of yourself and go out and earn a living and experience life.

I knew a man who was abandoned by his whole family when he fell into a coma after a freak accident. His family disappeared, went for a better life in Cyprus. Now, he's no longer in a coma and doesn't have so many health problems. He's had good medical care and his health is good for his age. He has his health, but no family. He's now on anti-depressents. I wouldn't call that everything.

Some people are just hard up on luck and its normally the good people. It really makes you wonder 'Why?'.

    Thanks :-)

  3. I think not everything, only all posibilities can able with health.

    A hug

  4. Good health coupled with good cheer perhaps?

I know plently of miserable but healthy-bodied people...

  5. I think having good heath is an absolute wonderful thing, and yes, anyone sick dreams of good health.

So, I approach this question from the mind set of a healthy woman.  I have been fairly healthy my whole life.  I am not sure health gives you everything.  I think the valuable quality that could be missing is "Happiness".

I say this because, you can be the healthiest, most athletic, best eating, vitamin taking person, and have an emptiness inside because you are NOT HAPPY with your life. This stems from all the negativity you used to bury that happiness with in stressful, or hard times.  I think some of the unhappy people in the world would forgo a bit of their health to have happiness.  Happiness is just something so hard to comeby and achieve for people.  They are looking to find it in outside forces, and it is not there because it only lives inside you.

Also, the very sick and ill people, probably have an unbelievable understanding of happiness because it is all they have in this world.  They do not have time and energy to waste.  They have here, today, and now. And they know if they do not spend today HAPPY, they may never have another day to try.  I bet in some instances, these people would not trade their happiness for the miserable life of a healthy person.  They have already made it to a level of understanding how priceless happiness is, and they know they reached their full potential of loving themselves in this world.

One day of happiness would be better than 100 years of life in a negative, hateful healthy person's body.

Health is not everything and it is not forever. Happiness can be priceless if people would only put the energy and effort to finding it on the inside. Happiness is one of those rarities that can last forever.

  6. Look at a dying cancer patient and see if you can't find the answer to your question.

  7. Absolutely, because when you're ill you can't do nothing, when you've pains, aches, have no forces, and when you are health , you do all you want indeed!

  8. Nothing is good when you are sick. On the other hand, there are many healthy people who are extremely miserable because they don't know how to create happiness. Many of our worst. most murderous dictators have lived robust lives until they were killed or they finally croaked. What about healthy people in abject, chronic poverty, or in enslaving situations of other varieties.

"There are three kinds of treasure. Treasure of the storehouse (wealth). treasures of the body (health). Treasures of the heart. The treasures of the heart are the most valuable of all."

  9. No.

I would say "If you have good health and you are loved, you have everything."

  10. Yes. In good health you have the strenght and level head to accomplish a lot. Verse having a lot and bad health preventing you from enjoying it.
