In most modern wind instruments the pitch is changed by using keys or valves to change the length of the vibrating air column. The bungle, however, has no valves or keys, yet it can play many notes. How is this possible?are there restrictions on what notes a bugle can play?

  1. the bugle has no vibrating parts of its own, its sound originates from your larnyx and your lips, so you control the pitch with your larnyx and your lips.
