There's a wasp flying around in my kitchen. I'm extremley afraid of wasps. How can I get it out of my kitchen without getting stung?

Please don't say 'just shoo it out the door'

  1. I too have problems with wasps (hyper allergenic). Try leaving a bowl of beer on the counter -- they love it, will climb in (perhaps get tipsy) and then drown. Works for slugs in the garden as well.

  2. Guysters answer is how I get rid of bugs in my house too.  I also will suck them up with my dust buster - just make sure you stuff some papertowels in the end so they don't crawl back out.  We caught over a dozen one day!

  3. You can open a window that it is probably trying to escape out of.

You can also kill it with a fly swat when it lands on the window.

  4. I put a large glass jar over it, then slide a piece of paper over the opening.   They are not usually aggressive unless defending their nest.
