There's a website that gives you names of relatives by putting your name in... anyone know a site like that?

  1. There is no website that will give you that information unless someone else has already put it into the computer.  Ancestry.com is a program that requires you pay for it on a monthly or annual basis.  If you put in a name, it will give you information on that name, but not necessarily other family members.  You more or less have to have some relatives names to start with.  Try making a list of your name, parents names, grand parents names etc.  Then you have a starting point.  Also put down everything you know about them -- birthdates, when married, how many and names of children.  Then you can start tracing back and get that information.  Go to www.familysearch.org/   they have the forms for free to get you started.  They also have a great research library and the majority is very low cost.  It is affiliated with the church but the research centers are separate.
