There's a weird file that keeps appearing in My Documents called spider.sav?

Question

It's really random, it's just this file called spider.sav that appears in my "My Documents" folder now and then. I delete it but it appears again somehow. It says it's a SAV file and that it opens with an unknown application. It's 1KB in size, does anyone know what this is about? It's driving me mad and I'm worried it's affecting my computer's performance.

Do you have spider solitair on your computer  spider.sav is a saved file for that game

Is the save file for the spider solitare game. The weirdest thing about this file is that it is write protected so you can not delete you will actaully have to open spider solitare and play the game threw to get rid of it.

Variously reported as safe and a threat. It is a file for saved games from Spider solitaire that ships with windows. The threat is due to vulnerabilities of the game, not the file itself.

You (or someone who uses your computer) has been playing Spider Solitaire.  If you choose to exit without finishing you're asked if you want to save your game... spider.sav

The only way it's affecting performance would be if you spend too much time playing.
