ok, so i was looking at legal ways to get high and i came across wormwood. it's the bitterest **** ever but apparently it can yield highs similar but completely different to pot (it's hard to explain). The first night i tried it and i smoked it as a joint out of printer paper (i didn't have any rolling paper), the second night i made it into a tea, both times i got a mild buzz from it but nothing different from that of cigarettes.

I really believe this stuff can get you high, i feel the potential behind it and a couple of friends at work swear by it. One cool thing about it is that the boiling temp of thujone (the active ingredient in wormwood) is 201 degrees celsius whereas the boiling temp of thc (the active ingredient in pot) is 200 degrees celsius. this means the paraphernalia used for smoking pot could be used for smoking wormwood.

I'm a chem minor in college so i know what i'm talking about, but honestly has anyone ever done wormwood before? if so please tell me about your

  1. A lot of people have had good results.

  2. Why not just buy some absinthe? I read a while back that it's now legal in the United States. The French got this down to an art in the late 19th century . . .

  3. Of course, wormwood is what is used to make the drink Absinthe. It's widely known that wormwood is used for recreational purposes/getting high. I like it a lot. Maybe read the experiences on Erowid about it? People write experiences about certain drugs and tell you exactly what they did/how they used it. They have a ton of information on the site.

it sounds cool to try and extract it yourself. if you want to take the easy way out and purchase it, you can buy it online here: http://www.smallflower.com/herb-pharm/wo...

sorry i couldn't help you out more

  4. Wormwood.  From the genus Artemisia.  Used in the distillation of absinthe.  Of course it can get you high, silly...it's toxic...and the variety you obtained was most likely a less deadly variant, known as Southern Wormwood or possibly Roman Wormwood, which will not kill you but contains some of the same chemical combinations. It is important to stress that while all members of the genus Artemisia are natural insecticides, only the variant used to make absinthe will actually have any great effect (i.e. get you high).  The pure oil of this plant can kill you.

  5. Be careful with that stuff, it is toxic and cumulative.

Weed at least will not shrivel your brain to the size of a walnut.

Absinthe, wormwood, artemisia or whatever yoiu call it is like a type of terpentine. It is a solvent and it messes up the nerve sheaths (myelin)

If you are studying chemistry in college you might understand this better.
