Question:

There's no sink close to my preschool classroom...clean up ideas for after painting?

I just moved schools within my district and there is no sink close by my new classroom. This makes it difficult to paint or do other messy activities with my class (which is the fun of preschool!). Any ideas on what I can do about clean up? I thought about bringing a bucket of water in, but that will get dirty again fast. Hand wipes never seem to get enough paint off preschoolers hands either. I brought up the idea to my principal about a portable sink, but our budget is slim. Any suggestions?

  1. I have the same problem.  And the director won't put in a sink even when the plumbing to do it is right on the other side of the wall.  Frustrating.  We do the bucket method.  I try and have 2 buckets, and change the water often, as it grosses me out.  Sorry I don't have an answer, just sympathy.

  2. We have the same problem. No sink in our classrooms or anywhere near them... We normally do one child painting at a time... then we clean their hands with baby wipes and then use hand sanitizer... this normally gets all the paint off. Then we all go to the bathroom and wash our hands after we are all done painting.
