Here's a guy who ran as VP with the Dems in 2000. He supports abortion rights, g*y rights, and supports hate crime legislation. He hasn't changed his views on anything since then except one. The only thing that's changed is 9/11 and after. It's a bit of a coincidence that the ONLY observant Jew in the Congress including Congresspeople & Senators is the only politician who switched support. The reason must be because he figures if the U.S. comes down hard on Arab countries that don't like Israel, Israel will be safe. He is supporting McCain because he thinks McCain will 'protect' Israel. It has nothing to do with any Republican policy or ideology.

  1. It would scare me to have any president that didnt consider Israel a strong ally.

Only a person completely clueless about that section of the world would want us not to be strong allies with Israel.

    oh shoot old man

maybe I have to rethink my vote now that I know what is really going on

McCain use to be considered a friend of the dems and quite liberal compared to other republicans until he became the party's nominee and suddenly he is a far right extremist, lol.

  2. I'd love to think he's the outlaw and free-thinker he wants to portray himself as.  Unfortunately, he allies himself with a major party, in fact both major parties, rather than allying with a 3rd party, or 4th.

He's a sell-out.   Always has been.  Stand for everything, stand for nothing.

  3. Here's another conspiracy theory in case you run out of them sometime (I doubt that...)

McCain drops out just before the election, Palin takes the top of the GOP ticket, select Lieberman as her VP. In the excitement, they end up winning. She takes another maternity leave, Lieberman takes over and then Israel will control the Whitehouse.

Take that and run with it, Slick.

You know, instead of being scared of the Jews taking over, try looking at who already has taken over. Damned televangelist types..

  4. well duh!...thanx 4 stating the obvious...hence he stated in his speech, "its not about the party name, its about whats best 4 our country"

mccain, republican or not, is whats best 4 our country

  5. Maybe because the Democrats threw him under the bus his last election. or that him and John McCain have forged a friendship over their tenure in the Senate. can see you view but think that it is the main reason. do you remember how bad the Democrats attacked him? there was a documentary done on the election ,that was shown on Sundance channel . think it was called blog wars and showed how the bloggers was at every event screaming at him.

  6. I'm quite amazed that people think Lieberman is such a Republican.

He caucuses and votes with democrats 95 percent of the time. The only issue he agrees with the GOP on is the war.

  7. Everyone has their own reasons for which party they join, and if this is his, I think it's as legitimate as anyone Else's. I am pro life and believe that marriage should be between a male and a female. That's mostly it. Some people are democrats because they believe a democrat president will put more money in their pocket's.Everyone has their own reasons for their party affiliation.

  8. Oh man, don't get me started on Lieberman, that fcukhead.  If his efforts on the behalf of the Republicans succeed in causing Obama to lose this election, I hope he is ostracized from every Democrat in the country.

If, as you say, his reasoning is because of the war and Israel, he should know that Obama will protect Israel in the Middle East.

What a turncoat.  I wonder how he friggin sleeps at night!

    Lady Morgana

    a pissed off Democrat
