Question

Her name is Alexa.

It was the first day of school today.

We go to a small catholic school grades K-8.

It was Alexa's first day at our school.

We're in 8th grade, and there's lots of boys.

But only four girls, including Alexa.

Me, Maddy, and Diana are pretty good friends.

Our class is pretty silly, and we love it!

But Alexa didn't talk to anyone all day!!!

What can I do to help her fit in,

without me being too obvious?!?!

I would just talk to her, try to get to know her a bit better and maybe make plans to do something outside of school.

Ask her if she wants to hang out with you and your friends after school.  Or you could just question her about general things: What's her favorite class, color, food, etc?  You could just observe her too; see what she likes, how she reacts to certain things, what she wears (maybe she wears green all the time because it's her favorite color), etc.  Act friendly and approachable; chances are she's shy and isn't one to walk up to people or make friends easily.

Well, start talking to her, and ask her to join in with you 3 at lunch, or on a project. After you become friends in school, invite her over to watch a movie, or to sleepover or to shop. Just think, how did you, Maddy, and Diana become friends?? Same thing applies right here. =]
