There are burned circle with a dot in the middle markings that appeared on our house floor what does this mean

The markings are very clear and permanent since the floor is made of wood.

It could be natural markings in the wood, it could be water spots and it could be something super natural. It also coudl be a burn mark from some previous owners. Have you actually gotten down to the floor to smell it? You should

You don't say what size or whether the timber is actually charred (enabling it to be scraped off) or just blackened slightly.

If the latter there is a good chance that there is part of a knot on the underside which through time has shrunk leaving a small gap around the outside and a small hole in the centre.

Air currents under the floor blow contaminants into the gap and hole and will through time appear on the surface as dark rings with a dot in the centre.
