Drunk people don't think! If you "kill" them, you will go to jail, not them. Make a "panic" call to 911 about "someone trying to break into your house" and you will get a better response.

Just call the police, or 911, and emphasize that you need police presence RIGHT AWAY, as the combatants are ACTIVELY fighting each other, and give them your address.

I've called police TWICE when I witnessed a fight. First time it was a fight onboard a city bus. I waved down an undercover car, told the officer what's going on. Within 60 seconds three squad cars surrounded the bus and at least five cops stormed the bus from both doors. Turns out it was just a young kid who didn't like the old guy (who's been around and allegedly on probation) that MAY have flashed him a gang sign. The old guy don't want no trouble, but the bus driver can't keep it under control.

Second time, I was across the street when I saw two drunks fighting. At least three people were just watching. I pulled out cellphone and called 911 and got connected to PD, and told them the situation. Within 2 minutes a squad car with 2 officers pulled up. One of the combatants was sitting dazed on the ground. Then an ambulance pulled up. So I left.
