they have been showing up in our pool the past couple of weeks. it kind of looks like it might be bird p**p but its like golf ball size. they are slimy looking. sometimes we get one that looks kinda like its moving or like a slug or something. it usually has a little white on it and is just like a blob with a tail sort of. they are starting to collect at the bottom of our pool and its disgusting. does anyone know what they are?

  1. No idea sorry. I have a pool but never come across this problem. Perhaps Leslies Supplies a swimming pool shop may know but I would not go to the bother of draining my pool until I knew it was vital which is probably is not. I would try shocking the h**l out of the pool with chorline after removing them and see if that helps but first I would go straight to a swimming pool shop. They may be slugs but I am sure there will bed chemical to buy to add to your pool to get rid of them. Good luck.

  2. Have you tried scooping any out with a net? That would be my first move...

  3. It sounds like some sort of nasty slime, like maybe black algea. If it is a pool using baquacil it could be water mold and it is hard to get rid of. Best bet is to sample it and take it to an ag center, right away.

  4. Squirrels???

  5. I think that you are having early morning visitors,  Ducks , maybe a crane or two. Their droppings do sink. I think what you need is to find someone with a pool vaccuumn cleaner or hire one, to clean it that way. Could you set up a surveillance camera temporary to try to find out who or what the culprit is, because I am sure it is not a living organism in there.

  6. u have to drain ur pool completely and get ur pool cleaned out but a professional
