There are lakhs of websites on internet...but who gives money or pay to them 4r this work??

in short....i know this is a stupid question..but i wanna know...

if they get paid 4r running a website...then who pays them.....if someone pays them then wat does the payer gets....ohhhh so many question..

if someone can answer it...i would really appreciate it..

by advertisers, whichever site you open u will see a lot of ads. that is how they make money then there are some sites which charge you money to become their subscribers/customers. thats how they run. aprt from from this there are lot of sites which are run by various governments of different countries for the benefit of their citizens, in theis case the government pays for it. then there are a LOT of companies which have their own website, the copmanies concerened spend for this.   this is how it runs, in a nut shell
