There are many religious Turks?

After reading what everyone thinks about the turks i felt the need to let everyone know that there are many religious turks.

Most of the religious turks do not speek english indeed Turkey is not an international country. Therefor, english is not wide spread. The new generation learn english in schools but stll english canot be considered as a second language. Therefor the commets you get fom the turks in the net does not represent the majority, those whom you discuss with are mostly western minded turks. Big probably they are also living in western countries.

There are alot of relglious turks but not fluent enough in english to explain there views and problems.

And yes, you are right. The Turks I have seen roam around on YA are Western minded. Like me.

PS. I have many devout relatives who are very very good people, but donot share the same dogmas with the people here.

in every nation and race there are bad and good..

Well...The ones i have come across all were either claiming to be atheists or...They didn't care for religion..

But of course everywhere you go you will find religious people...Look at Harun Yahya, he writes great islamic books and he is turkish...Also i've seen some turkish girls in hijab, but not many, they are not allowed to wear it in turkey freely...

there are religious and nonreligious people in every country, culture, nationality. It really just depends on the person and possibly the type of up bringing they have.

look the majority of turks r religious and polite (u can know that from the last elections where they chose an islamic government) but the laicism is silly not people
