There are one inch white worms on the kitchen ceiling?

I notice that there are others who have had these but it still didn't answer the question.

I had this problem several years ago; they are moth larves. They are in your kitchen because they live off of powdery food products, flour, cereals..you brought they home from the market you shop at. I learned this from the CDC because I don't have pets nor did I have food out the counter. My husband and I found some in the fold of the cereal box. The found their way into the flour and rice and other dry products. We took our recent purchase at that time back to to market where we both dry product and sure enough the isle was fill with moths. The market reimbursed us for the recent purchase but we wound up throwing away about a hundred dollars of food. We had to reline the cabinets and bought air time container. It took several summer to get rid of these larves.

larvae of Indian Meal Moths... they will be found in any food made of plant, usually the seed
