  1. Chinese people do support the Olympics as such, but show little interests in individual sports.

During the ticket sales there was probably lots of euphoria and most tickets got sold by that madness. Now people sober up a little and many other don't show up, or spend their time at the snack stands or trying photo shooting opportunities.

  2. Depends on which event. Did you see the basketball USA vs China? It was full. Some people paid up to 30 times then the original price for the ticket. Many events aren't held in Beijing. Such as soccer and sailing. They were in QingDao (TsingDao), Nanjing Province.

  3. Basketball, Soccer and Volleyball are the most popular sports in China. Most the people are going to see these games.

  4. I noticed that when I was browsing through the TV. Most seats are empty. The athletes are playing with all their might and I was like, where are the audience? And most people in the audience are foreigners even.

  5. I would say that they are scared of being bombed by Tibet and Muslim minorities.
