Do you mean gypsies? Yes I'm sure there are gypsies in the USA, gypsies come from a number of countries, Romania, India, Ireland, etc.

They are famous for selling pegs and lucky black plastic cat pendents and heather, they put curses on people who do not buy their ware, they also steal babies and fortune tell.

There are lots of Roma in the USA. A few thousand in Chicago alone. Several hundred in and around San Francisco. But, a few years ago, there was a mass migration of Roma to Canada from the Czech Republic because of a rumor that the Czech authorities were going to wall off the Roma neighborhoods.

There are plenty of theories as to the origins of the Roma people. Some say they came from India. Others say that they were the "caterers" for Alexander the Great's armies and that is why they have a history of traveling in brightly colored wagons. Others thought they came from Egypt and the nickname of "Gypsy" has stuck ever since.
