  1. I guess it depends on your child. When our child was 1 1/2 we purchased one that makes applauding noises when she uses it, a royal chair. She really enjoyed this .. as a toy but not a toilet. She wanted to use the potty like a big girl, and felt that a little potty was no good. We then purchased a Dora seat that sits on the normal toilet. She loved to use this, and I feel that it really helped her gain the confidence through potty training!

  2. The toilet in your bathroom.  Children don't NEED pottys, it has been proven that children who used potty chairs/seats wet themselves more often in school and daycare because they were faced with having to use a regular toilet. schools and daycares  don't supply "potties" and the children aren't used to toilets.  So they either hold it or they wet/soil themselves.  So stop being lazy, put your child on the toilet and hold the child on until the child learns how to balanc him/herself.

  3. The Baby Bjorn potty chair.

  4. If you have a son, I would recommend the Peter Potty Urinal because it helps them learn standing up, then I have another that sits on the regular toliet for #2s.  If you have a girl, probably any potty that plays music because she'd be fasinated with it.

  5. Well I would get two. I have one that sits on the floor that is easy access for her/him to get too and then one that sits on the actual toilet which helps them get comfortable with the big toilet. So start with the one on the sits on the floor and when they get comfortable with that then try the one on the toilet. or they have this winnie the pooh one at walmart that is both in one. Good Luck!
