There are tiny black bugs infesting my car! they are coming out of the carpet.what r they & how do i kill them

i tried killing them with ant/roach spray but they came back. i think they are multiplying under the carpet where some water was once spilled, with the heat there is a lot of humidity. i noticed a couple in my husbands car but there are many in mine. they just crawl around, mostly stay motionless and sometimes fly. they are very small and black kind of round or oblong shaped. what can i do to get rid of them, that is safe for my baby?

mix some dish soap with water and spray it on the carpet. It will kill ANY insect fast and is child and animal friendly. I use it for everything. Dawn works excellent.

get one of the bomb sprays  from the grocery store and have a mask on (windows up in the car - and mats removed so you can get to the floor), and don't use the car for at least 8 hours.

So do this when you get home from work and let the car sit overnight.  It has a horrible smell, but it worked for my mother in her car and in her apartment.

I think she got it from buying in bulk from a "discount" grocery store and they transported to her kitchen.

You may also get flea powder, and follow directions as they are usually the hardest things to kill.

No chemicals are safe for a baby, so be careful and follow directions on any chem's that you buy.

Not fleas, they don't fly.  Borateem with borax from the laundry aisle works on insects and it won't harm your  baby.  sprinkle it under and on top of the floor mats and carpet.  If you have fabric seats sprinkle it on them too.  Let it set overnight, preferably when you have two days off, because the next day you can vacuum the car.  If the baby doesn't get on the floor you can keep it under the mats.  It won't taste very good.

They might be fleas. You would have to have them professionally fumigated if that is what it is.
