You have a interesting variety in point guard styles...you have your big and strong point guards..(Jason Kidd, Chauncey Billups, Deron Williams, Baron Davis)..and I grant you these guys are pretty fast for being as big and strong as they are

Or you have your small quick point guards (Chris Paul, Tony Parker, TJ Ford, Steve Nash)....

Which style of Point Guard do you prefer?

  1. dont really matter, gotta have smarts

  2. medium sized and SMART (think Dennis Johnson)...

  3. I prefer bigger stronger point guards like Deron Williams or Chauncey Billups. They can shoot well, are big enough to create their own shot yet quick enough to go right past you, they are very good passers, and they can post up other guards making life miserable for the opposing backcourt.

  4. Deron Williams- Medium in height, prodigious physique, good defender, good ball handler, good free throw shooter, good shooter in the 3's, good jump shooter, good of creating his own shot, good leader, good passer, good peripheral vision, good at involving his own teammate, good crunch time, good kid and well polished.

  5. I like Deron Williams ... he is a good passer , ball handler , can be fast , strong , good shooter , and Clutch

  6. -I prefer a PG with a Pass first, Shoot second mentality. That's the single most important aspect, but I'd take speed at the PG position, over strength.

  7. good sized point guards who can shoot the 3(unlike jason kidd) and get to the rim and shoot high percentage(unlike baron davis), play defense(like jason kidd) and of course have great court vision. Ideally deron williams, cp3, or nash after that it'll come down to style of play you have half court or uptempo. williams if you're on half court cp3 nash if uptempo. Ultimately though I think passing is the most important.

  8. Small and quick like Chris Paul. CP3 can score and give great passes to his teamates and does not have much turnovers. He isn't a ball hog and is willing to pass first than shoot. When you average 21 points and 11 assists you know your a great PG. He isn't the tallest PG, but he can play defense well. Back on topic, I'd pick small and quick because speed > power.
