There is NO nest, just a bird (or two birds, I can't tell) that comes at night and tucks itself in the corner of the awning roof, at the low end. I can't see it's head because it is all curled up onto itself. I have a motion light that goes on and off, and we go in and out the door with the dog several times at night, and the bird never moves. In the morning, it is gone. Then the next night, it is back again. I don't mind it being there - I'm just wondering if anyone knows that it is. We live in Pennsylvania, in case anyone needs to know that for types of birds. I have several bird feeders and a bird bath in the front and on the opposite side of the house. I do have quite a few birds living in bushes by the feeders and there is quite a bit of bird traffic everyday in my yard. It is not cold here at night, but it has been getting cooler at night = maybe like 65 degrees at the lowest?

  1. Its hard without the description, but probably an Ostrich!

  2. Not that it would necessarily help, but a detailed description would help.......this may help:

  3. Without a better description, picture, etc, it's hard to tell.

  4. Could it be just a plain pigeon (gray body, slightly colored wings)?  I have a friend, and he had a bird do the same thing.
