If im not wrong, it's part of a story. The sea captain was on a cruise with his wife and his other sailors. The ship crashed and sunk and everyone was marooned on an isolated island. In the crash, the captain became blind and the wife was dead. The captain was informed of her death. Days passed and the crew became hungry as there was no source of food on the island. The situation of no food was also told to the captain.  The crew, without telling the captain, decided to cook the corpse of the wife. They offered him some, saying that it was albatross meat, and he gratefully ate it. After some time, they were rescued and brought back to mainland. Years passed, and the old blind captain decided to go to the restaurant. There he ordered albatross. When the taste was different, he put 2 and 2 together and realsied the truth. Overcome by grief and disgust, he shot himself dead.
