the symbol looks sorta like a curvy L with a straight L across it! What symbol do I use in place of it? I need to use the right symbol in the currency convertor so I know how much an item will cost me from place that uses such symbol!

  1. Make sure "num lock" is on.

Press down the "ALT" key and hold it.

On the keypad (NOT the numbers across the top of the keyboard), type "0163."

    Release the ALT key.

    You should have this: £

Or you can just highlight the symbol I typed above, copy it, and paste it into your word processor.

  2. Sounds like you're wanting to type the British pound sign.  In Word, click on Insert, then Symbol, then look for the British pound sign (or any symbol you want), then click OK.  Hope that helps.

  3. I don't know..
