to go about filling that hole in with concrete for a patch. Do I need to try and get all that grass out of there first, or can I just pour concrete in it?

  1. You can buy highly concentrated weed killers that you have to mix with water.  They are not too expensive and you can get them at Home depot and similar stores.  The premixed weed killers seldomly work.  I would then fill the hole with sand or cold patch asphalt.  It would also be wise to get a container of driveway sealer, which is like 10-15 dollars.  It will cover the top layer and resurface and seal the area.  If you leave the cold patch by itself it will be bumpy and will probably chip away again.

    Hope this helps

  2. try to get all the grass out of it first and spray the area with weed killer and get a bag of asphalt patch at a home center and put this in the hole and tamp it down it will work better then concrete
