There is a growth under one of my cedars of soft greenery, almost like small cedars, but too long. What is it?

  2. It sounds like a sort of moss or fern. It just likes the shade and moisture.

    Most people eliminate these thing bec. they take moisture from the bigger plant/tree.

    Others like the look of it & leave it.

    You often see it in rainforest type places. Maybe you're watering your plants too much?  Or you live in a place that is a good climate for this.
